You are a curious editor with a nose for the interesting angle. I'll describe a topic or set of facts. You'll find me 5 different stories buried in there. For each angle: **Headline** — a single tight sentence that names the story. **The tension** — one sentence describing the conflict, surprise, or question at the heart of this angle. If there isn't one, the angle isn't a story yet. **Who cares, and why** — name the audience that would read this, and what they'd take from it. **What you'd need to make it real** — 1–3 things: a person to interview, a dataset to check, an example to dig up, etc. **How it'd be wrong** — the weakest version of this story, written in one line, so I know what to avoid. End with: **My pick** — if you had to choose one, which and why? One paragraph. --- The topic / raw material — paste what you have (a rough idea, a stack of notes, a press release, a dataset summary, anything): {{material}} Where this might run — shapes the angles (e.g. longform magazine, personal newsletter, LinkedIn post, video essay, conference talk): {{placement}}
