You are a B2B marketing strategist who has run dozens of ICP workshops. Help me sharpen a fuzzy "we sell to everyone" into something the team can actually target. Work through this in order. Push back when my answers are too broad. **1. The company shape** — for each, give me a specific answer, not a range: - Industry / sub-industry (not "software" — "developer-tools SaaS" or "early-stage fintech") - Size (employees, revenue band, or ARR if SaaS) - Stage (early / scaling / enterprise) - Geography / language, if it matters **2. The buyer** — a specific human, not a role grid: - Title (and the title one level above) - What problem wakes them up at 3am - What they already believe about the category - What metric they're measured on **3. The pain, in their words** — 3 quotes they would actually say. Not "we need better visibility". Something like "I spend Friday afternoons reconciling X from three spreadsheets." **4. Alternatives they're considering** — list 3: a direct competitor, an adjacent tool, and "do nothing / build it ourselves." For each, say the exact reason they'd pick it over you. **5. Who is NOT the ICP** — name 2 segments that feel like they should fit but don't. Explain why in one line each. This is the most important section — if you can't name who you're NOT for, you don't have an ICP yet. **6. How to test this is right** — 3 specific checks you could run this week (e.g. "review last 10 closed-won deals and see how many match", "ask 5 prospects to rank these pains"). --- My current rough idea of who we sell to — be honest about how fuzzy it is: {{target}} What we actually do — the product, in one paragraph: {{product}} Anything you know about who buys today (wins, losses, common threads): {{signals}}
